About
A workshop on Carpinteria Drive, and twelve years of straight talk.
Carsaman started in 2014 as a side practice — one mechanic, one clipboard, one promise. It's grown into a five-person operation that the Central Valley's fleet operators rely on every week.

From the founder
"I spent fifteen years under hoods before I wrote my first inspection report."
I grew up around trucks. My father ran a small almond operation just west of Galt, and from about the time I could turn a wrench I was helping him keep our pickups and harvest equipment running. That was the easy part. The hard part was the years I spent later, as a tech at three different shops, watching customers get sold things they didn't need — and watching honest mistakes turn into expensive ones.
Carsaman exists because of those two experiences. Fleets are too important to a business to be inspected by someone whose paycheck depends on finding work. Independent inspection isn't a luxury; for a serious operator it's basic risk management.
Today we work with dealerships in Lodi and Elk Grove, carriers out of Stockton and Modesto, ranch operations across San Joaquin County, and a handful of municipal fleets. The work is always the same: walk every vehicle, write what we see, and hand back a report you can act on.

What we hold to
Four working principles.
Independence
We don't repair what we inspect, and we don't take referral fees from shops we suggest. If you find out otherwise, the report is on us.
Plain paper
Every report is structured for the actual people who read it: maintenance managers, controllers, insurance underwriters, and the occasional auditor.
Local accountability
We live and work in Galt. You can drive to our shop and look us in the eye. We're not a national chain or a software platform.
Continuous training
Every tech maintains current ASE credentials, CHP-aligned commercial training, and ongoing CARB updates. We pay for it, not the client.
